Annual Picnic in August

We will be having our anual club picnic at the Ridge Swim Club in Mt. Airyon Saturday August 26, 2017 beginning at 11am. Lunch will be available at noon.

The pool opens at 11 and we have the pavilion rented. Just tell the guards on duty that you are there with the Multiples Club. The club will provide lunch with subs and pizza. We are just asking that members PayPal $5 per person over the age of 3 to cover your entrance to the pool and to ensure we have an accurate head count.

Please review the swim clubs's website for pool rules. The big rules are that kids wearing swim diapers are not allowed in the lap pool and any floatation device must be coast guard approved (usually this includes puddle jumpers and life vests, I know, annoying). The pool has a gated kiddie pool and a gated playground.

Mother's Day Dinner at Dutch's Daughter

Join us for our annual Mother's Day Dinner to celebrate all you amazing Moms of Multiples. We will have the following dinner options available to choose from:

- Vegetarian Pasta
- Crab Cakes
- Stuffed Chicken
- Filet

The club will cover the majority cost of food (no alcohol), we just ask you RSVP and Paypal the $10 deposit to reserve your seat. Deadline for RSVPs is May 5th.

We will have an assortment of raffle prizes too!

CPR Training for January Meeting

FCPOM is excited to welcome George Lane from 1st Hand Safety, LLC to teach our members CPR and the Heimlich maneuver. The primary focus of the meeting will be on the CPR techniques for children ranging from ages 0 – 8. After completion of this class you will leave with a 2 year CPR certification.

Why attend this class?

First of all CPR saves lives in this class you will learn techniques for handling a life-threatening emergency – if a child is choking or isn't moving or breathing because of a fall or a near drowning, for example. The techniques are different for babies and older children, so it's important to learn both. In a pediatric CPR course, participants learn how to prevent, recognize and respond to cardiac and breathing emergencies.

Would you know what to do if your child stopped breathing? If you don’t feel prepared to respond to a medical emergency involving your child, don’t hesitate to learn CPR, a procedure that consists of chest compressions and mouth-to-mouth resuscitation. Hopefully, you’ll never be in the position of having to perform CPR on your child, but it could happen. Undergoing CPR training will ensure that you’re prepared in case an unfortunate emergency occurs. Administering CPR could save your child’s life if his heart stops beating or he isn’t breathing adequately.

Reasons why a baby or child’s heartbeat and breathing may stop include the following:

• Suffocation
• Choking
• Severe asthma
• Poisoning
• Near drowning
• Smoke inhalation
• Head trauma
• Electrical shock
• Obstructive apnea
• Sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS)

Details: The meeting will be held on January 4, 2017 at 7 pm. The cost for FCPOM members is $30 per person (includes 2 year CPR certification). The class is limited to 20 people, so please Paypal your payment early to ensure you get a spot. Please go to the FCPOM webpage to submit payment.http://www.fcpom.org/event-payment/

Gaver Farm Fall Fest October 22nd

Join us for some fall fun at Gaver Farm! We have rented a fire pit from 5-9. Feel free to come as early as 3pm.

We are asking that club members PayPal $5 per person for everyone 3 and up (the club will cover the rest of your fee). If you are a Gaver Farm season pass holder just RSVP that you are a season pass holder and will not need to PayPal the $5.

The club will provide the main course for dinner, non-alcoholic drinks, and smores for dessert. There will be a sign up for everyone to bring a side. Visit the Event Payment page for the PayPal link.

2016 Fall Consignment Sale

One of the highlights of joining the club is our ever-popular yard sale, held each spring and fall. During this event, members gather to offer their goods to other families, who are thrilled to be able to purchase beautiful and well-cared-for items for their children. When you're buying clothing, shoes, toys and equipment for multiples, it's nice to know you can pass along your treasures and receive someone else's in return!

The sale is opened to club members and outside sellers. Our sellers have the opportunity to earn a minimum of 60%. The percentage earned is based on the number of hours you volunteer, the more you volunteer the higher your percentage. Plus, a bonus that other area consignment sales don't offer is that the percentage our club keeps is tax deductible because we are a non-profit organization. The bi-annual sales are our largest fundraisers and help to fund our annual events. We have a lot of fun hanging out with other parents and get an opportunity to earn some extra cash.
