We will be having our anual club picnic at the Ridge Swim Club in Mt. Airy.http://www.ridgeswimclub.com/ on Saturday August 26, 2017 beginning at 11am. Lunch will be available at noon.
The pool opens at 11 and we have the pavilion rented. Just tell the guards on duty that you are there with the Multiples Club. The club will provide lunch with subs and pizza. We are just asking that members PayPal $5 per person over the age of 3 to cover your entrance to the pool and to ensure we have an accurate head count. If you are a member at Ridge let Deena know and we will waive the $5.
Please review the swim clubs's website for pool rules. The big rules are that kids wearing swim diapers are not allowed in the lap pool and any floatation device must be coast guard approved (usually this includes puddle jumpers and life vests, I know, annoying). The pool has a gated kiddie pool and a gated playground.
Please join us on March 1 to learn more about the Most Wonderful Place on Earth - DISNEY! Angela Semenick, a travel agent, will be talking about ways to make traveling with children less stressful and will focus primarily on Disney on-property travel as well as Disney cruises. Bring your Q&A to this session and start your planning!
Monocacy Valley Church
We will have cookies, milk, a few snacks, games, and some crafts. We are also hoping to have a visit from Santa and pictures with Santa.
Professional pictures with Santa will be provided by Jen Evans for $10 for a emailed digital image. Please provide cash at the event. You are also welcome to take your own pictures.
Please note this is a different church from last year, with hopefully a little more room.
Let's get together for brunch to welcome and get to know our new and expecting MoMs. This is a great event for new members as it alllows them to ask "veteran" members any questions about life with multiples as well as connect with other fellow new MoMs.
New and expecting MoMs, just bring yourselves. However little ones are welcome if you need to. We love to hold new babies!
"Veteran" MoMs *only*, please sign up to bring something to share - http://
Leave the kids at home with Dad so that you can enjoy a quiet morning out!
We are super excited to welcome our very own Chris Spear as the November monthly meeting speaker! Chris is an in-home personal chef and culinary instructor in Frederick, Maryland. Chris will discuss healthy eating and meal planning, which is a topic that every busy parent of multiples can appreciate. Our culinary expert will provide us with a few quick, easy, and inexpensive recipes that are healthy and delicious. He will also help us keep a healthy pantry by talking about some items that he likes to keep on hand to accomplish this. How could I forget to the mention the best part, we get to taste test a few recipes. This meeting is not to be missed!
Please check out Chris's new video on his Facebook page, Perfect Little Bites. The food looks amazing! Don't forget to Like his Facebook page to stay up to date on all the Perfect Little Bites announcements.
Join us for some fall fun at Gaver Farm! We have rented a fire pit from 5-9. Feel free to come as early as 3pm. Deena will be at the front entrance with your wrist bands.
We are asking that club members PayPal $5 per person for everyone 3 and up (the club will cover the rest of your fee). If you are a Gaver Farm season pass holder just RSVP and let Deena know you are a season pass holder and will not need to PayPal the $5.
The club will provide the main course for dinner, non-alcoholic drinks, and smores for dessert. There will be a sign up for everyone to bring a side. We will post on the event when the PayPal link is posted as well as the sign up for sides.
Feel free to BYOB (yes alcohol is allowed :o)). We are hoping to claim part of the pavilion in the front.
RSVP by October 14th!
